Premium Pearl Unveils New Spring 2007 Fashion Collection

Premium Pearl introduces a stunning array of Baroque Tahitian Pearls in luminous shades of black, silver, lavender, and green.

Premium Pearl, the leading San Francisco-based online retailer of pearls, introduces a new collection of spring fashion pearl jewelry. Designed to flatter the reds, grays, and blacks of the season, these designs show pearls that are flirty and very fashion-conscious.

Yan Berry, creative director at Premium Pearl, notes that there is a strong bohemian influence in this collection. One necklace, a multi-color baroque Tahitian, displays the exquisite luminescence of Tahitian pearls in silver and greenish black hues. Yet the baroque shape makes the jewelry irresistible and fun. Explains Berry, "It's the sort of design you can wear with a pair of jeans and a Gucci bustier. It's just a little daring, a bit more Angelina Jolie than Grace Kelly. The artistic shape is distinctive, setting you apart from the crowd." Fashion editors from Latina Magazine have called this necklace "sophisticated and elegant."

Other designs in the collection include pearls strung on strands of richly colored silk. Berry says, "This type of jewelry is preppy, playful, ideal with this season's cashmere sweater dress or perfect for a casual weekend in the Hamptons."

Berry personally chooses each of the pearls in her collection. Her experience ranges from selecting the rarest of South Sea pearls to combing French Polynesia for Tahiti's famous, lustrous black pearls. The jewelry is then designed in her San Francisco offices. Explains Berry, "Each pearl is unique, a natural work of art. It's important that I pick only the most refined ones that reflect the quality of our designs."
